RACHEL 1st husband was JOHN CARSON BELL.  JOHN CARSON BELL died within 2 years of their marriage.  JOHN CARSON BELL & RACHEL BURLEW had one daughter, SARAH BELL, who married WILLIAM ALEXANDER CARSON.  WILLIAM & SARA CARSON moved to Pierce Co., Wisconsin and are both buried in Maiden Rock Cemetery, Maiden Rock Twp., Pierce Co., Wisconsin.

JOSEPH POTTS was born January 13, 1811 in Millheim, Centre County, PA, and died October 02, 1899 in Lock Haven, Lock Haven Twp., Clinton Co., PA. JOSEPH's father is possibly JOSHUA POTTS who is shown on the 1810, 1820, 1830 and 1840 PA, Centre Co., Haines Twp. Census. JOSEPH POTTS first wife was SARAH UNKNOWNJOSEPH & SARAH had two daughters:

ELIZABETH JANE POTTS, married DAVID DELONG.

MALISSA POTTS death certificate shows she was born 22 Feb 22, 1850 in Belleville, PA.  I believe it is more likely she was born in 1847/48. She died November 27, 1932 in Galion, Ohio. She married AUGUSTUS SMITH in Elma, Erie County, NY on 03 July 1865.  MALISSA filed for divorce in Lock Haven, Clinton County, NY.  The divorce was final in 1876.
